Who we are
Our history
We are a not-for-profit and charitable company by limited guarantee established in April 2025. Although our company is new, we have been assessing seafood for nearly 20 years.
Why we assess seafood
We assess seafood products to help improve the health of Australian marine and freshwater environments and give seafood producers, sellers and consumers with ecologically sustainable choices.
Our team
Our team includes marine scientists, fisheries experts and advocates all committed to work for healthier marine and freshwater environments and sustainable seafood choices.
Our partners
In 2019 we began to work closely with the Bondi-based Happy Fish Project to assess the sustainability of selected seafood products for them.
